Terms of use

Briefly: the service is free, the codes are yours, you are responsible for what you put in them, and we do not warrant them. The rest is detail.

Who runs the service

The operator is Michal Řepásek, company ID 43758967, registered at Dlouhá 162, 250 63 Mratín, Czech Republic; a sole trader entered in the Czech Trade Register, not registered for VAT (the "provider").

Contact: podpora@kverton.cz, Czech data box ID 8xp7ikv.

What the service does

Kverton lets you create and read QR codes. Static codes are generated entirely in your browser; only the pages themselves pass through our server.

Creating static codes is free and requires no account, and we intend to keep it that way. What will be paid for are services that cannot work without a server — dynamic codes with a changeable target, or bulk generation.

Your content and your codes

The codes you create are yours. You may use them commercially, print them, modify them and redistribute them. We require no attribution and claim no rights to them.

You are responsible for the content you put in a code. We do not review it, because it never reaches us — with static codes we technically cannot see it.

What you must not do

You must not use the service to create a code that:

You must also not place automated load on the service beyond normal use, circumvent technical limits, or attempt to disrupt its operation.

Using QR codes for fraud is a criminal offence. A code that poses as a payment for goods and sends money elsewhere is fraud regardless of where it was made.

Subscriptions and payments

Creating static codes is free and requires no account, and will stay that way. The Pro and Studio plans pay for dynamic codes, statistics, batches, the API and higher limits — features that cannot work without our server.

Availability

We aim for continuous operation, but the service is provided as is, without any warranty of availability. We may take it down for maintenance, change it or discontinue it.

Static codes you have already downloaded do not depend on the service running. The data is encoded in the image itself, so they keep working even if this site ceased to exist. That is a property of static codes, not a promise from us.

Limitation of liability

The provider is not liable for damage arising from use of the service, in particular:

The application advises you on print size and warns when colour contrast is insufficient. These are recommendations grounded in measurement, not a guarantee — always test a printed code with a real phone, ideally several.

Intellectual property

The Kverton name, logo and the design of this site belong to the provider. You may not use them in a way that suggests your service is ours or that we run it together.

The design templates we offer may be used without restriction, including commercially.

Governing law and disputes

This relationship is governed by the law of the Czech Republic. Disputes are decided by Czech courts.

If you are a consumer, you have the right to out-of-court dispute resolution. The competent body is the Czech Trade Inspection Authority, Štěpánská 44, 110 00 Prague 1, www.coi.cz.

Changes

We may change these terms. The current version is always on this page with its effective date. If you disagree with a change, stop using the service.

Effective 1 September 2026.
